Re: pre event tech question

I follow you Joe, but I do need *A* logbook of some kind to run the hill though, correct? I may not have my CR logbook by Weatherly. "There is a good chance I will have my Club racing logbook before Weatherly, but its not a sure thing and I want to make sure I have a plan B if i do not get my C...

Re: pre event tech question

Steve/Joe/John/Dave, First of all, thank you for the quick replies. Fast friendly responses like this make me wonder why I havent run a hill this year. I will have all of my paperwork in order, I do have my TT license (non novice) and I have run Weatherly before. The core reason for my question is b...

pre event tech question

I am going to run Weatherly and my car only fits in ITE. If I do not have an SCCA club racing logbook at that time, but my car is compliant according to the GCR's, can I just show up? Do I have to get a logbook issued in advance and/or a roll cage number?

Thanks,
Brandon

1 day entry

I just saw the 1 day entry option on the Weatherly form, is this going to be offered for any other or all events on the schedule this year?

Re: participating in RALLY NEW YORK

Hey Bill, the car looks great. I remember when that car was first built, it was one of (maybe the only) Audi running national level events. Did you buy it from Brooks who was involved with Thule somehow? I have done some time in rally prep shops in the area, and been on the road with the rally circu...

Re: Some good (Local) news!!

I can't make the free day, as it is the same time as Weatherly. I'm trying to get more info from him, been hard lately he's now doubled his work time. He did say the Englishtown website, in the Road Course section has all the information for the free day... Here is what I found on the site: "T...

Re: Some good (Local) news!!

Well, the free weekend falls on Weatherly. (June 6,7,8) He is trying to work a deal with them, so there is a monthly free "cruise" night there, like they hold for the ¼. Everyone would get a free lap or two, during a weeknight, BBQ etc etc. Seems EVERYONE around here is into Drag Racing e...

I agree, the integra that is for sale is good, solid, reliable car and I have driven it at Pocono with Mike. It is very forgiving and is set up nicely.

Well you can recognize all the racing classes but if there arent enough entries to make a competitive field is there any reason (or a formal rule) they couldnt get lumped in a larger mor general class? On the forced induction/factory beast topic, what AWD cars these days are not FI anyway? Of the 2w...

There are far too many classes and I think that a much more basic classing system is need. FWD, RWD and AWD separated into stock, modified or unlimited is simple to police and is being used by the redline time attack series with great success. Of course this would be for any cars that are not fully ...

I agree Dave, case by case and car by car is the way to do it... But my statement about the bump not being logical is mostly due to the raging debate amongst the cone-wackers involving BSP. The C4 vettes cant keep up with the STi's in BSP and this is making people very upset... If the vette guys are...

All SP turbo cars run BSP in hillclimbs? That doesnt seem very logical.

Take a look at the solo rulebook, there is probably a street prepared or modified class you can fit into unless you have some really wild modifications.

There are turbo cars in IT but I am pretty sure they all run in ITE.

I think Rick nailed it, building a complete box around it and adding a hinged access door is the easiest way. I worked at a rally prep shop and we did a cell in a VW golf in which the fill neck was routed out of a similar box design and then ended in a bezel mounted in the side hatch window (which w...
